During refurbishment of the stone walls in the Dellchen, small underground streams were discovered, which explained why it doesn’t suffer from drought in hot dry years. 2022 is a case in point: The wine has a relaxed freshness, the ripe citrus fruit – grapefruit and even a hint of mandarin are counterpointed by the typical ethereal stony minerality, and there is a hot dark stony finish.
