We approach Pinot Noir made outside the classic regions with some trepidation, but need not have worried here. This is a gorgeous wine: aged for two years in a mixture of oak and stainless steel, it has classic delicate crunchy red fruit with some blackcurrant and morello cherries thrown in, powerful smooth tannins and a long spicy finish with notes of forest floor in the autumn.
