Description
The fruit from this entry-level Barolo used to come entirely from Novello, typically showing alpine herbal flavours. This year there are also grapes from La Morra, lending perfume and coolness, and from Monforte, providing structure, tannins and a note of orange peel from the iron-rich soils. The result is a complex wine with fresh, delicate strawberry-scented fruit, but broader and deeper than in the past. It has power and length, and a long life ahead of it.
