Description
Sankt Nikolaus is directly on the river, and its proximity to this large body of water ensures a moderate, even microclimate, with no extremes of hot or cold. It has the oldest vines of the estate, between forty-five and sixty-five years-old, with low-yielding, intensely aromatic small berries. The calcareous, sandy loess soils give a rich, seamless, silky wine, with lemony fruit, a persistent fine minerality and dark spicy notes of tobacco and vanilla on the long energetic finish.
