Description
Planted in Brochon, under the Jeunes Rois vineyard, these nearly one hundred-year-old vines always promise an intense ride. They remain less affected by vintage variation than their younger brothers, and even in a hot year exhibit a restrained elegance and freshness. The cooler year has gently accentuated that freshness, and there is an appealing liveliness to the dense dark fruit and supple tannins, with a hint of menthol on the long smooth saline finish.
