Description
Badarina is an elevated vineyard in Serralunga, with limestone-rich soils. The Grimaldis’ three plots bud early but they are east-facing, and develop much more slowly than the estate’s other vineyards, harvested a clear four weeks after the Ambrogio. They produce a dense, complex wine, compact and reserved in youth, showing cool raspberry fruit, alpine herbs, a hint of balsamic, and structured, fine tannins that prolong the juicy saline finish
