Description
From two parcels: Petit Maupertuis, with thin, limestone-rich soils, and Hautes Baudes, lower down the slope, with more clay and gravel. The leaner fruit from the upper end gives a bright feel and added definition to the riper, richer fruit from lower down. It is a dense, spicy wine, with plentiful rich ripe tannins and a long, very smooth finish.
