Description
From vineyards abutting Monthélie, taken from two parcels, one clay-rich, the other predominantly limestone. It is always more complex and structured than the village; this year the raspberry fruit is ripe, meltingly seductive, faintly spiced, and backed by fine tannins. It finishes on a lean stony note. Pure pleasure.
