Description
Like the 2016, this has a glorious sinewy, mineral nature. Inviting aromas of rose petal, dark plum, warm spice and liquorice rise tentatively from the glass, and the power of the ripe fruit hits you on the palate. Pure, strong and meaty, the dark fruits are not quite so compact and closed as ’16, but this is a rich, broad wine that will require time.
