Description
Producing an elegant, understated Goldtröpchen requires considerable skill, and Thomas Haag’s version shines this year. It has power – the vineyard will out – but also elegance with no trace of fat. The fruit is fresh green shot through with a little yellow, and there is a core of bright pithy citrus-infused minerality building to a very long juicy finish. It is a little on the austere side now and will reward cellaring.
