Description
Vines planted at a very high density – 20,000 per hectare – on iron-rich limestone soils – give a tiny yield of less than 10 hectolitres per hectare. So it’s no surprise that the wine is intense, but there is no trace of weight: it is racy, pure and forward, full of raspberry, sour cherry and a hint of blackcurrant, meltingly fine lean tannins, a hint of spice, and a long velvet-smooth finish.
