Every wine we’re offering clearly reflects its origins, and it fascinating to come across the same elements as you progress from Kabinett to the highest ripeness levels. So this Helden has the same basic structure as its less ripe incarnations a rounded richness, dark spicy mineral core and brisk lemony acidity, but the fruit is thicker, more densely woven and yellow, and there are clear tropical notes and a hit of barley sugar, followed by a fine salty finish.
