Description
Les Corbeaux is in the wind corridor of the valley leading to Chamboeuf, and the grapes benefit from the freshness the breezes bring. Uncommonly, around 10% of the vines here are white – Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay and Aligoté – and harvested with the red, which adds lift to the wine, and its proximity to Mazy-Chambertin nudges it towards grand cru status. It is full of powerful fresh black fruit, and the elegant fine tannins and bright acidity have an appealing precision.
