Poissenot is a narrow strip of vineyard with poor limestone soils at the top of the hill, between the Lavaut Saint Jacques and the treeline, giving mineral-driven, angular wines that are light and fresh even in ripe years. 2019 is no exception: the smooth ripe fruit is bound tightly by fine sleek tannins, and there is a very long juicy dark finish.
