The heart of the Doosberg vineyard, close the river, was the first planted by Peter-Jakob and Angela Kühn in the mid-seventies. The loess soils are rich in clay and quartzite, and give a dense, very complex wine, bursting with energy and power, full of ripe citrus fruit, pronounced herbal notes and a cool, fine earthy minerality. Really special. Will reward cellaring.
