Description
Poissenot is a narrow strip of vineyard with poor limestone soils at the top of the hill, between the Lavaut Saint Jacques and the treeline, giving mineral-driven, angular wines which are light and fresh even in ripe years. It is pure and lean, with a distinct salty mineral note under the powerful fresh black fruit, and there are some fine chalky tannins on the long finish.
