The Monvigliero – from four parcels in their 1.4 ha plot- is ethereal, with delicate rose petal fragrance, fresh raspberry fruit and a firm structure thanks to the vines’ deep roots in the fossil-rich ‘Sant’Agata’ soils. Still there is also a velvety voluptuous side to the Monvigliero, classically Verduno, charming and very lovely. More layers will emerge with time, and this wine will reward cellaring.
