There is fresh cherry fruit with a hint of cassis on the nose; on the palate it is smooth and fresh, with lots of energy, lightness and intensity.

Rich and spicy, with cherry and raspberry fruit, this has good energy, an appealing density and a smooth long finish. Drink 2018 – 2028

Made from small-berried Dijon clones around forty years old. There is sweet ripe morello cherry fruit, fine gentle tannins and a discreet frame of new oak, leading to a long fresh finish.
2015 Tschuppen Spätburgunder (ZIER48215A)
One of Germany?s top winemakers, Hans-Peter Ziereisen?s wines get ever finer. Tschuppen is from a more elevated vineyard, and there is a delightful freshness to the rich, dense red fruit. Quite lovely.

A first hit of ripe yellow fruit is followed by greener flavours courtesy of some whole-bunch pressing; the acidity is brisk and integrated and there is a lovely fresh finish. A textbook example of Pfalz Riesling.
2016 Am Heiligen Berg [18 17] (DENG34216A)
From heavier soils with more clay in the limestone-gravel mix. This is opulent, smooth and powerful, but a considerable whack of acidity keeps it beautifully balanced. The finish is elegant and long, with a hint of mineral depth, which will become more apparent with age. Drink 2017 - 2024

Powerful and intense, with a burst of ripe golden berry fruit complemented by a superb mineral elegance. Effortless and long. Quite outstandingly good.

An absolutely magical Kabinett this year. If you like Òem old-style, then this is for you: it is lean and pure, there is dense gooseberry and herbal fruit and so much focussed minerality on the finish that it tastes dry.
2015 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr GG [08 16] (HAAG02215A)
An extraordinary wine that combines power with delicacy and fluidity with intensity. There is ample peachy fruit, a soft creamy minerality, and a smooth long finish.
2016 Brauneberger Kabinett [03 17] (HAAG06216A)
Spicy, soft and delicate, this shows delicious lemony fruit and drives to a brisk, mineral-laden finish. As ever, a most elegant Kabinett.

From young vines in Goldtröpchen. Powerful and rich, this is an expressive wine with rounded pear fruit, a healthy dose of citrus in the form of grapefruit pith and lemon, and a vibrant, fine ripe finish. Drink 2017 - 2025
