The Growers > Domaine Paul Pernot

This twenty-hectare estate has some of the finest holdings in Puligny, and although much of it goes to négociants, the choicest parcels are used for the domaine’s own bottlings. The patriarch Paul Pernot gradually seems to be handing control to his sons and their children, and they are carrying on the work very much in his image. There is a remarkable consistency in style: methods are traditional, and the wines always powerful and rich.

Paul senior was pleased with the vintage. Although some spring rain caused disease pressure in the lower part of the village, yields were up, especially in the grands crus, and which grower would not welcome that?
