The Growers > Domaine Jean GuitonGuillaume Guiton joined his father Jean’s eleven-hectare estate in 1998 and was handed control in 2005. Its production is almost entirely red, and it has no glamorous appellations. But these pure, beautifully expressive wines are well worth seeking out, and provide excellent value for money.
After the severe frosts of 2016, the vines compensated with greatly increased vigour, so green harvesting was necessary to keep yields down. Otherwise the growing season passed without great incident, and Guillaume was delighted with the quality. The wines are less powerful than 2015 or 2016 but have great finesse.
