2018 Rausch Kabinett [13 19] (ZILL11218A)
Bright, intense and juicy, with all the lightness you need from a Kabinett. It is inviting, well balanced and persistent.
2017 Rausch Kabinett [07 18] (ZILL11217A)
An unusually dense Kabinett, made from a mixture of greenish, ripe and over-ripe grapes. The result is a complex structure of ripe yellow orchard fruit with cool floral notes, the ripe citrus flavours intertwining with a fine minerality, and culminating in a powerful juicy finish.
2016 Rausch Kabinett [04 17] (ZILL11216A)
A soft, elegant wine, with fresh, forward fruit leaning to the tropical, balanced by fine minerality.
2014 Saarburger Rausch Kabinett [05 15] (ZILL11214C)
Rich, dense fruit showing juicy citrus, creamy honeyed notes and a fine clear minerality that leaves a salty taste on the finish. A lovely start!
2018 Rausch Spätlese [11 19] (ZILL21218A)
A big leap of intensity and sweetness from the Kabinett. The fruit is tropical, the minerality takes the form of smoky pithy grapefruit, and the finish is smooth and elegant.
2017 Rausch Spätlese [06 18] (ZILL21217A)
Made entirely from ripe, shrivelled grapes that give a thick honeyed smooth wine with ripe but very zingy lemony acidity and a distinct mineral edge on the long finish.
2004 Saarburger Rausch Spätlese [04 05] (ZILL21204A)
Very concentrated and pure, with great elegance. Ripe racy mineral acidity.
2003 Saarburger Rausch Spätlese [08 04] (ZILL21203Z)
2018 Rausch Auslese [09 19] (ZILL29218A)
Three separate Fuder of Auslese were made in 2018. This one is juicy and creamy, with plenty of tropical fruit, smooth integrated acidity and a long rich pithy finish.
2017 Rausch Auslese [05 18] (ZILL29217A)
Some botrytis in the mix now, adding a creamy note to the bright yellow and honeysuckle fruit; and the structure is compact, powerful and smooth, with a seamlessly fine mineral finish.
2016 Rausch Auslese [01 17] (ZILL29216A)
Dense, weighty tropical fruit is lifted by vibrant citrus acidity and a very smooth fine mineral-driven finish.
2010 Saarburger Rausch Auslese [06 11] (ZILL29210A)
A very clean botrytis gives more tropical fruit flavours, and a lot more intensity. Ripe and rich, with Eiswein-like acidity and an almost creamy middle, building to a vibrant fresh mineral finish.
2002 Saarburger Rausch Auslese [05 03] (ZILL29202Z)
1999 Rausch Auslese [04 00] (ZILL30099Y)
Creamy, rich and ripe, showing smoky notes typical of the Rausch, a fine minerality and soft dried apricot fruit. There is a pleasing waxy quality from bottle-age, plus a lot of sweetness here, and there is no rush to drink it. Drink 2017 - 2025
2018 Rausch Auslese [10 19] (ZILL30218A)
Three separate Fuder of Auslese were made in 2018. This one is perfumed and heavily citrus: Seville orange, lemon and grapefruit all make an appearance, and there is a long smooth vibrant finish.
