2018 Niersteiner [15 19] (WITT36218A)
So rapidly do vines in the red slate soils of Nierstein ripen that this was harvested a full ten days before the Morstein GG. The grapes are sourced from young vines in the Orbel and Ölberg vineyards, whose red slate soils give – guess what – red fruit. There is lots of spice, power and depth here, with fresh acidity and a broad salty finish.

2018 Aulerde GG [16 19] (WITT42218A)
The warmest site in the estate's portfolio, with rich marl soils on a sandy clay base. The vines were planted in 1951. This is forward, ripe, pure and accessible, with lovely lemony intensity and brightness, very juicy yellow fruit, smoky mineral flavours and long hot salty length.

2018 Kirchspiel GG [17 19] (WITT44218A)
Situated just above the Aulerde in a shallow east-facing amphitheatre which catches the first sun, the soil is mostly limestone with some loam. This is a wine of depth and power, with pure vibrant cool green fruit, a note of spice, brisk lemon flavours and good salty length.
6 Bottle - 75cl £228.00

2018 Morstein GG [19 19] (WITT48218A)
The coolest vineyard in the line-up, with clay soil on a rocky limestone base giving a powerful rich wine that will need time to unfold. Always the most backward in the line-up, it is seamless, ripe and long, with a melting intensity and lots of weight, effortlessly supported by a finely wrought salty mineral structure and a very long finish indeed.
