2018 Juffer GG [24 19] (HAAG01218A)
A lovely elegant fine wine, with very juicy ripe yellow fruit and a pronounced stony minerality building through to a long salty finish.
2017 Juffer GG [24 18] (HAAG01217A)
Polished fresh and elegant fruit is joined by slaty mineral flavours and bright citrus acidity in a smooth, balanced wine that is long and satisfying.
2016 Juffer GG [24 17] (HAAG01216A)
A juicy waxy creamy citrus nose is followed by deliciously fruity, fine and vibrant flavours in the mouth. This is delightfully forward and lovely. Drink 2018 - 2026
2017 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr GG [08 18] (HAAG02217A)
Made from grapes in the heart of the vineyard, clustered around the sundial, where the microclimate is warmer and the vines much older. There is a little new oak here, but it is barely perceptible against the intensity of the steely citrus fruit and dark slaty mineral flavours. Nothing is out of place here: there is balance, elegance and finesse, and the finish is a marked by a delicate fresh minerality.
2016 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr GG [08 17] (HAAG02216A)
Made from grapes in the heart of the vineyard, clustered around the sundial, where the microclimate is warmer and the vines much older. There is more of everything here: depth and intensity, ripe peach fruit tinged with vibrant lime acidity, and pure pithy minerality. There is an easy elegance, a lightness of touch and a vanishing finesse that makes this especially appealing. Drink 2019 - 2032
2015 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr GG [08 16] (HAAG02215A)
An extraordinary wine that combines power with delicacy and fluidity with intensity. There is ample peachy fruit, a soft creamy minerality, and a smooth long finish.
2017 Brauneberger Kabinett [03 18] (HAAG06217A)
What the Mosel does best: fresh, light, persistent, open floral and tangy citrus flavours, spicy minerality and a vibrant finish.
2016 Brauneberger Kabinett [03 17] (HAAG06216A)
Spicy, soft and delicate, this shows delicious lemony fruit and drives to a brisk, mineral-laden finish. As ever, a most elegant Kabinett.
2018 Brauneberger Juffer Spätlese [05 19] (HAAG17218A)
We have never previously offered this, but in 2018 its understated finesse was impossible to overlook. There is an irresistible freshness and purity, a balance between floral lemony fruit and very fine salty flavours, and it finishes on pure long sweet-sour note.
2018 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese [07 19] (HAAG20218A)
Made from vines clustered around the sundial in the heart of the vineyard, where it is very rocky. The rocks absorb warmth quickly, and the resulting wines are richer than those from the surrounding Juffer vineyard. The very smooth yellow fruit masks considerable power; this is a rich, dense wine with sweetness, elegance and no lack of freshness driving to a long salty finish.
2017 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Spätlese [07 18] (HAAG20217A)
Made from vines clustered around the sundial in the heart of the vineyard, where it is very rocky. The rocks absorb warmth quickly, and the resulting wines are richer and warmer than those from the surrounding Juffer vineyard. It is beautifully fine, intense and ripe, with lively lemony acidity balanced by floral and stone-fruit flavours and a long pithy finish.
2018 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese [06 19] (HAAG30218A)
There is only a marginal difference in ripeness between this and the Spätlese (3 Oechsle, if you really want to know), but the grapes come from vines in the oldest plots around the sundial, and the result is quite distinct: the wine is stony, with a peachy nose, very ripe pure yellow fruit and a very long smooth creamy finish.
2017 Brauneberger Juffer-Sonnenuhr Auslese [06 18] (HAAG30217A)
Piercingly clear bright yellow fruit - peaches, greengages and apricots - give a sense of lusciousness, although there is no botrytis, and the whole is seamless, elegant and smooth, ending on a long juicy tangy sweet-sour-salty note.
2017 Brauneberger Juffer Auslese Goldkapsel [22 18] (HAAG39217B)
Botrytis adds a rich, powerful note to the vibrant citrus and peach flavours, and there is a smooth mineral undercurrent that emerges strongly on the finish.
