2016 Pinot Noir N114 [04 18] (SHEL36216A)
N114: a French road? No, this new wine is named after the number of the bunker on the Canadian airbase housing Hans-Bert and Silke's their first wine-making efforts. The smallest bunches from the oldest vines in their Nordweil vineyard were harvested a little earlier and vinified separately, giving a single barrique of intense, cherry-fruited wine that easily swallows its new oak. There are hints of cinnamon and smoke, silky tannins and a fine gentle minerality that emerges on a beautifully long finish.

2017 Pinot Noir N114 [04 19] (SHEL36217A)
Named after the bunker number on the Canadian airbase where Hans-Bert and Silke made their first wines. The smallest bunches from the oldest vines in their Nordweil vineyard, planted in 1971, were harvested a little earlier and vinified separately, giving a single barrique. Vibrant aromas of blueberry, tarragon and a touch of smoke are joined on the palate by intense cherry flavours; there is great density and freshness, and a fine mineral undercurrent, all of which make the 100% new oak fade into the background where it belongs.
6 Bottle - 75cl £258.00
In Bond
Wine currently only available in bond.
