2013 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52213A)
The fruit here is delicate and floral, very forward, open and intensely seductive. Pure and fine, with considerable weight and length.
2011 Latricieres-Chambertin (CAMI54211A)
More linear than the Charmes, with a pronounced minerality that gives an ethereal quality, balanced by intense sour red cherry fruit. Long rich finish. Quite superb.
2018 Chambertin (CAMI58218A)
The big brother of the Charmes – more serious, deeper and very rich. Over half is made with whole clusters, giving extra energy to the densely woven spicy black and red fruit. It is fragrant and pure, with length provided by very fine chocolatey tannins and a lean minerality.
2016 Chambertin (CAMI58216A)
More a dancer than a rugby player: there is beautifully defined black fruit - chocolate, coffee and cherry - seamlessly integrated with vanishingly fine tannins, and understated, effortless power evidenced by a very persistent, smooth finish.
2013 Chambertin (CAMI58213A)
Very dense, juicy and ripe, with dark fruit and chocolate. The wine is concentrated yet fine and effortless, weighty yet fresh and vibrant. The most elegant Chambertin we tasted this year.
2018 Saint Romain Sous Le Château (CAMI72218A)
More elevated vineyards shine in a warm vintage, and this is no exception: the fruit is scented, bright and fresh, with a dash of cream and a zippy finish.
2017 Saint Romain Sous Le Château (CAMI72217A)
Elegant and bright, with some weight and bright lemony acidity to accompany the mineral hit on the finish.
2016 Saint Romain (CAMI72216A)
From Le Sous le Château . Vibrant citrus flavours on a surprisingly rich palate, and there are lovely mineral flashes on the finish.
2018 Auxey Duresses Blanc (CAMI73218A)
A rich, creamy wine with rounded ripe fruit, a gentle caress of a complex melting stony mineral flavours, lifted and defined by a vibrant lemony freshness that make it a delight.
2018 Meursault Les Vireuils (CAMI74218A)
A vineyard high on the hillside with a high limestone content gives a pure, flinty wine with delicate floral aromas and a long fresh finish.
2017 Meursault Les Vireuils (CAMI74217A)
A very pure mineral-laden wine, full of energy, power and citrus fruit, finishing on a creamy saline note.
2016 Meursault Les Vireuils (CAMI74216A)
Concentrated, powerful and rounded, balanced by vibrant acidity and a long fresh finish.
2015 Meursault Les Vireuils (CAMI74215A)
Broad, powerful and rich, this has good definition and freshness, and a juicy mineral finish.
2015 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers (CAMI76215A)
An attractive, fine, pithy nose is followed by richness and intensity on the palate showing broad, juicy mineral flavours and a lovely floral finish.
2018 Chassagne Montrachet 1er cru Tonton Marcel (CAMI80218A)
Part of the Grand Montage vineyard, the barest of bare hillsides, with almost no topsoil over the limestone, planted in small terraces rather than directly on the steep slope. It makes a quite extraordinary wine: tightly woven and dense, with a lean, silky texture and lots of pure citrus fruit, leading to a long, pure and very fine finish.
2018 Corton Charlemagne (CAMI90218A)
From Le Rognet. An intense rounded rich wine with great energy and purity. It flows beautifully, and there is a fine chalkiness on the finish that adds definition.
