2017 Corton Les Renardes (CAMI41217A)
A welcome return after some years of absence from the portfolio. Made from organically farmed fruit, and 100% whole bunches, it is a nuanced linear wine with a firm mineral backbone and pure tannins, offset by generous enticing red fruit and a very long juicy finish.
2011 Corton Le Rognet (CAMI42211A)
30% whole-bunch fermentation "to make it more serious". Very seductive, round and silky, with huge depth of flavour, vibrant freshness, precision and length.
2014 Corton Le Clos Du Roi (CAMI44214A)
Made from biodynamically farmed fruit. A very big, ripe wine, with serious tannins and great depth, purity and salty hot minerals. There is fresh, intense fruit too, and a long fine finish.
2013 Corton Le Clos Du Roi (CAMI44213A)
Made from biodynamically farmed fruit. No blushing flower this: tremendous power as usual, but backed by very fine silky tannin and lashings of bright raspberry and other red fruit. A beautifully delineated long finish.
2012 Corton Le Clos Du Roi (CAMI44212C)
2011 Corton Le Clos Du Roi (CAMI44211A)
Made from biodynamically farmed fruit. It peeps out shyly from behind massive, chocolatey tannins. Very vibrant, fresh and long. A superb Clos du Roi, but one for the cellar.
2017 Clos Vougeot (CAMI48217A)
From two parcels: Petit Maupertuis, with thin, limestone-rich soils, and Hautes Baudes, lower down the slope, which has more clay and gravel. It is fine, fruity and ripe with violet-tinted red fruit, density, smooth tannins and a fresh peppery finish.
2016 Clos Vougeot (CAMI48216A)
This is fine, rounded and generous, with spicy sweet fruit, but also restraint, as the layers of flavour take time to emerge from behind well-balanced tannins. An energy-giving mineral tension runs through it too, and a there is a long fresh finish.
2015 Clos Vougeot (CAMI48215A)
Charming, very pure red fruit with a hint of muscle runs all the way through to a persistent finish.
2013 Clos Vougeot (CAMI48213A)
From the upper left side of the vineyard, and a welcome addition to the portfolio: the trademark purity of the Camille-Giroud style brings out the best of the vineyard: juicy sour-cherry and raspberry fruit, well balanced supple ripe tannins, and great finesse.
2017 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52217A)
Rounded and rich, with seductive relaxed black fruit tinged with liquorice and spice, fine ripe tannins and lots of energy and freshness. Does what it says on the tin.
2016 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52216A)
Forward and open, this offers very juicy, spicy black-cherry fruit, lots of fine tannins, and an easy charm that promises a fun evening.
2015 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52215A)
Perfumed, silky sweet and very polished, this is intense and very well defined, with fine tannins, depth and some salinity on the finish. Drop-dead gorgeous.
2014 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52214A)
Fresh, and beautifully textured, this has fresh, generous, ripe fruit of lovely purity. There is a transparency here that shows every element clearly: silky, rounded tannins, fine minerals, filigree acidity and a delicious menthol finish.
2013 Charmes-Chambertin (CAMI52213A)
The fruit here is delicate and floral, very forward, open and intensely seductive. Pure and fine, with considerable weight and length.
2011 Latricieres-Chambertin (CAMI54211A)
More linear than the Charmes, with a pronounced minerality that gives an ethereal quality, balanced by intense sour red cherry fruit. Long rich finish. Quite superb.
2009 Latricieres-Chambertin (CAMI54209A)
Ripe red fruit, packed with energy and vibrancy. Smooth, spicy and rounded. Very lovely indeed. Firmer and blacker but no shortage of finesse. Spicy hedgerow fruit allied to fine tannins and a persistent minerality, framed by vibrant juicy acidity that drives to a long finish.
