2018 Pommard 1er cru Fremiers (BOUL50218A)
Adjacent to Volnay?s Fremiers, this has the silky appeal of Volnay, with its fine pure red fruit, but also the power of Pommard in the form of rich black tannins. There is a hint of bloody iron here, and a very long elegant juicy finish.

2017 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers (BOUL50217A)
In 2017 more wine was made from Fremiers than in the previous five vintages combined. And very lovely it is, with silky complex sweet fruit, very smooth ripe tannins and an exceptionally pure lean saline finish.

2016 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers (BOUL50216A)
Almost no wine made here - just 9 hl/ha. Not surprisingly, it is very dense and rich, but there is perfumed red fruit, fine rich tannin and a very persistent finish.

2015 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers (BOUL50215A)
A very lovely wine indeed. Expressive, rounded ripe fruit of great freshness - courtesy perhaps of 75% whole-bunch fermentation - is joined by serious tannins that are silky, fine and fresh and lead to an elegant persistent finish. With yields of just 17 hl/ha, there is very little available.

2011 Pommard 1er Cru Fremiers (BOUL50211A)
80% whole bunch fermentation. Rounded perfumed nose leads to intense fruit on the palate, complemented by notes of chocolate and spice. Pure and full of energy, which lifts the normally rich and sometimes ponderous Fremiers towards the ethereal.

2018 Pommard 1er cru Rugiens (BOUL52218A)
From vines planted high on the slope on very poor thin white soils, and thus not your typical powerful Rugiens. Instead, we get something very fine and pure, with straight elegant silky fruit, lots of intensity, and a big hit of salty mineral on the very long seamless finish.

2016 Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens (BOUL52216A)
Another vineyard not affected by frost. The grapes and stems in Rugiens were so ripe that for the first time since 2008 30% whole bunches were used during fermentation. There is an explosion of superfine red and black fruit, supple tannins, and a rush of freshness from the fine minerality on the long finish.

2014 Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens (BOUL52214A)

2012 Pommard 1er Cru 'Léonie' (BOUL52212A)
"I have always wondered what the rich red soils of Fremiets and the thin rocky ones from my parcel of Rugiens would be like together" said Thomas during our tasting "and in this vintage there were so few grapes in each vineyard that we vinified them together. I am delighted with the result, so much so that I have named it after my daughter who was born this year" Rich, intense and elegant, with lashings of fresh black fruit and lots of minerality on the finish. 2011 Pommard 1er Cru Rugiens (BOUL52211A)
Very thin soil in the high part of the vineyard allows a smoky note from the rock to permeate the wine, joined by massive dark fruitcake elements, but defined at present by a delicious salty minerality which keeps it vibrant and pure. A fantastic Rugiens.
