2012 Bourgogne Rouge Hautes-Côtes De Beaune (BOUL12212A)
From a vineyard just over the crest of the hill above Volnay. Lots of mineral tension here, along with well-defined red fruit and fine tannins. Enormously concentrated and long.
2017 Volnay (BOUL20217A)
From three plots with soils shading from white to red. The red gives sweet black cherry fruit, the white contributes structure and a fresh salinity, the whole topped off with ripe spicy notes on a long fresh finish. Drop dead gorgeous.
2015 Volnay (BOUL20215A)
Inky black dark fruit with lots of energy, fine tannins and a lovely smooth mouthfeel.

A powerful Volnay from deep clay soils, ripe and intense, building to a long fresh finish.

Generous ripe black-cherry fruit with appealing silky tannins and clear mineral flavours. Lots of energy and, as ever, great purity.
2011 Volnay Vieilles Vignes (BOUL22211A)
Rich spicy, darker fruit with a generosity in the mid-palate lifted by vibrant mineral flavours. Very pure: each element clearly delineated as the wine develops in the mouth. Fresh, intense and long. Will need some time in bottle.
2017 Volnay Clos De La Cave (BOUL24217A)
The steep vineyard adjacent to the cuverie is composed of white pebbly sandy soils and some clay. The wine is relaxed and elegant, with pure ripe red fruit, and a brightness and energy that last to the long pure finish.
2013 Volnay Clos De La Cave (BOUL24213A)
Powerful and concentrated, with ripe fruit of great intensity and fine tannins for this level. It finishes long and rich.
2012 Volnay Clos De La Cave (BOUL24212A)
From the vineyard surrounding the cellar. Sweet ripe fruit of great intensity, beautifully textured supple tannins and a persistent fine minerality. Long silky finish. Very exciting.
2013 Pommard (BOUL26213A)
Mostly from the top of the Vaumuriens vineyard, higher up on the slope, with cooler white soil. Light and pure, with lovely fresh red fruit and a vibrant fine tannin structure. Lots of energy and balance, with a delicate mineral flourish on the finish
2012 Pommard (BOUL26212A)
Mostly from the top of the Vaumuriens vineyard. Fresh, ethereal crunchy black fruit belies the greatconcentration, and combines with linear tannins to form a very balanced package. Beautifullypure and bright.
2013 Beaune 1er Cru Les Reversées (BOUL30213A)
From well drained, sunny soils. Grape bunches are small, with a good deal of millerandage and this year, there was 40% whole-bunch fermentation. The wine has a perfumed and lifted nose, lovely texture, dense fruit and a fine tannic core. It is very fresh and aromatic, with a hint of menthol on the ethereal finish.
2012 Beaune 1er Cru Les Reversées (BOUL30212A)
80% whole-bunch fermentation this year. Fine, densely-woven ripe fruit, and smooth silky tannins. It has vibrancy, freshness and length.
2011 Beaune 1er Cru Les Reversées (BOUL30211A)
40% whole-bunch fermentation as usual, which imparts aromatic complexity and freshness. Intense black hedgerow and red cherry fruit, well-structured minerality, fine silky tannins and a long finish. Very accessible and lovely.
2017 Volnay 1er Cru Carelles (BOUL40217A)
From old vines in the middle of the slope that catch the sun, growing in deep red soils mixed with chalk. The fruit is supple, ripe and fresh; thanks to the chalk the tannins are a little bitty at this stage, but will quickly soften and melt in, and there is a long bright finish.
