2017 Clos Vougeot (GRIV54217A)
Conventional wisdom holds that the finer Clos Vougeots are made up near the Château , and that the vines by the road don't deserve grand cru status. Grivot proves them wrong: year after year he makes a powerful, very elegant wine that encapsulates all that is best about this famous vineyard. This year it is dense, rich and ripe, packed with pure scented strawberry fruit and elegant fine tannins and has a fine saline finish.
2014 Clos Vougeot (GRIV54214A)
An abundance of fresh energetic perfumed red fruit balances the butch, if fine, tannins, and lasts through to a long juicy finish.
