2017 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs (GEAN16217A)

2016 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs (GEAN16216A)
Perfumed and inviting, there is raspberry fruit on show, and a lovely freshness to the chocolate and liquorice tinged tannins. But don't be fooled, for behind the facade hundred-and-twelve-year-old vines give great power, precision, depth and persistence. It will be attractive young, but will run and run.
2014 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs (GEAN16214A)
A hundred-and-ten-year-old vines give a smooth, forward wine showing black fruit, chocolate and licorice notes. It is very poised, the tannins are suave, and there is good mineral balance, but the overwhelming impression (unexpected, given the age of the vines) is one of freshness and energy: the wine bursts with it.
2011 Gevrey-Chambertin En Champs (GEAN16211A)
Dark juicy fruit of great depth and intensity. Enormous reserves of coiled power. Mineral, rich, very fine and long.
2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Le Poissenot (GEAN22217A)
Poissenot is a narrow strip of vineyard at the top of the hill, between the Lavaut-Saint-Jacques and the treeline, giving mineral-driven, angular wines that have lightness and freshness even in very ripe years. This has black fruit with notes of smoke and jasmine, huge reserves of energy, chocolaty tannins and a lifted vibrant finish full of a stony heat.
2013 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Le Poissenot (GEAN22213C)
Very classy and fine, this is full of dense black fruit plus rounded ripe tannins and is shot through with mineral flavours. Fresh all the way through to a persistent finish.
