2016 CHASSAGNE MONTRACHET ROUGE 1er cru (FOGA64216A)
This year a blend of Morgeot and Clos St. Jean. Normally these two cuvées would total ten barrels, but in 2016 there were just three. It is full of vibrant energy, power, dense red fruit, spice and fine minerality, and finishes on an attractive note of black chocolate and coffee.

Very bright concentrated citrus and ripe pear fruit supported by well-delineated pithy mineral flavours. Tight on the finish, and will reward cellaring.
