2018 Mercurey 'La Framboisière' (FAIV14218A)
It smells of, you’ve guessed it – raspberries, almost a Platonic ideal of them in fact, perfectly ripe, pointed and aromatic. There is lot of depth here, and the rich tannins will ensure a long life.

Juicy strawberry fruit with crunchy fresh menthol notes, supple tannins and a long vibrant finish make this lovely indeed.

There is no trace of heaviness in this bright fruit-driven wine, with perfumed fresh raspberry notes running through the fine, balanced finish.
2018 Clos des Cortons Faiveley (FAIV22218A)
A massive wine as usual, rich and powerful, full of juicy fresh fruit tinged with licorice, and matched by very present, fine dark tannins giving structure and balance.

2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Les Cazetiers (FAIV28217A)
A denser wine than the Combe-aux-Moines: the fruit is rich, running from strawberry to ripe blackberries, the tannins are soft and ripe, and there is a lovely bass mineral note on the saline finish.
2018 Gevrey Chambertin 1er cru La Combe Aux Moines (FAIV30218A)
Smooth red fruit shades gradually into darker tones as the wine opens out, mingling with fine, pure tannins that still carry quite a kick; there is a long, bitter-sweet finish.

Pure, spicy rounded black-cherry fruit, a smooth, rich middle and a ripe, fresh long finish.

There are dark, chocolatey tannins and a rush of broad earthy mineral flavours underpinning an abundance of juicy ripe fruit, and the finish is persistent and fine.
2017 Echezeaux 'En Orveaux' (FAIV46217A)
Dense, ripe strawberry fruit is offset by chunky but still smooth tannins, and there is a bright long finish.
2018 Clos de Vougeot (FAIV48218A)
From the more powerful end of the Clos Vougeot spectrum comes a big, rich wine with lashings of fruit and tannin. It has balance and length, and will need time to unfurl.
2017 Clos De Vougeot (FAIV48217A)
A big, powerful wine with something of the monolithic about it; the fruit is rich and rounded, and though very ripe retains freshness and purity.
2016 Clos De Vougeot (FAIV48216A)
An excellent year for Clos Vougeot, as shown by this lovely smooth, fruit-packed wine that is juicy, fresh and very deep and long.
2013 Clos De Vougeot (FAIV48213A)
From three separate parcels, one near the Château . This has dark ripe fruit, a good tannic backbone that supports rather than overwhelms, and a smooth intense finish.
2018 Mazis Chambertin (FAIV50218A)
A smoky, black and powerful wine with bags of juicy ripe fruit, ripe but still firm tannins and great intensity all the way through to the bitter-sweet finish.

A relaxed, fine and fruity wine displaying reddish fruit that becomes gradually blacker as it builds slowly to a big ripe chocolaty tannic crescendo, finishing on a juicy fresh note.

A very big, rich dark wine, powerful and rounded, with dense bright black fruit and a long tannic, mineral finish.
2014 Mazis-Chambertin (FAIV50214A)
Rounded, chocolatey fruit dominates here, managing to be at once powerful and delicate; there is an exciting mineral complexity and vibrancy that complements the very fine, smooth tannins, and a persistent finish.

Great intensity and richness, along with vibrant energy. The fruit is expressive and generous, and there is hint of menthol on the long rich finish.

A powerful, rich, and surprisingly accessible wine. The fruit is pure and vibrant, and there is a lovely silky energy to it, leading to a long, powerful tannic finish.
