From warm, sunny red soils in mid-slope. There is perfumed black cherry fruit on the nose, leading to a lovely juicy palate, where a dense knot of fruit and very fine tannins, a hint of mineral and bright pure acidity add up to a wine of considerable depth. One of the star village wines from the C'te de Beaune this year.

Rich spicy, darker fruit with a generosity in the mid-palate lifted by vibrant mineral flavours. Very pure: each element clearly delineated as the wine develops in the mouth. Fresh, intense and long. Will need some time in bottle.

Powerful and concentrated, with ripe fruit of great intensity and fine tannins for this level. It finishes long and rich.

Mostly from the top of the Vaumuriens vineyard, higher up on the slope, with cooler white soil. Light and pure, with lovely fresh red fruit and a vibrant fine tannin structure. Lots of energy and balance, with a delicate mineral flourish on the finish

80% whole-bunch fermentation this year. Fine, densely-woven ripe fruit, and smooth silky tannins. It has vibrancy, freshness and length.
2011 BEAUNE 1er cru Les Reversées (BOUL30211A)
40% whole-bunch fermentation as usual, which imparts aromatic complexity and freshness. Intense black hedgerow and red cherry fruit, well-structured minerality, fine silky tannins and a long finish. Very accessible and lovely.
