Warm, spicy red hedgerow fruit is joined by cool licorice notes. There is a lovely texture to this, and great depth and concentration too. The finish is lively and long. Drink 2019 ' 2025

2012 MARANGES 1er cru Le Croix Moines (CAMI22212A)
You don't expect such finesse from Maranges, but this super wine has it in spades. Rich and very pure, with rounded silky fruit, a hint of mineral and a long fruit-driven finish. Very seductive.
2012 ALOXE-CORTON 1er cru Les Valozi?res (CAMI26212A)
From a vineyard just below Corton-Bressandes. Everything an Aloxe should be: concentrated delicious vibrant fruit, a hint of spices, some gaminess, and importantly, smooth fine tannins. Gourmand.
2011 ALOXE-CORTON 1er cru Les Valozi?res (CAMI26211A)
A new wine, from a vineyard just below Corton-Bressandes. Dark, bramble fruit with distinct pepper, chocolate and gamy elements. Rounded and deep, driven to a long finish by a vibrant minerality.
2013 BEAUNE 1er cru (CAMI29213A)
Beaune was hard hit by hail in 2013, particularly Cras, which managed a yield of only 3.5 hl/ha. It was thus blended with Avaux to make a very rich, concentrated wine with dark fruit, good tannin levels and superb length. It will last very well, and needs ten years in the cellar before approaching.
2015 VOSNE-ROMANEE 'Les Chalandins' (CAMI30215A)
Les Chalandins is neatly situated below Echézeaux, close to the wall of Clos Vougeot. Fresh, ripe and perfumed, showing a typical nose of violets and blueberries. The palate is silky, intense and powerful, shading to blacker fruit as the fine minerality appears towards the long finish. Quite lovely.

2013 VOSNE-ROMANEE 'Les Chalandins' (CAMI30213A)

2012 VOSNE-ROMANEE 'Les Chalandins' (CAMI30212A)
From vines in Flagey. Intense sweet ripe fruit dominates at first, but it quickly becomes apparent that underneath it is quite a muscular wine, even with a hint of mineral austerity at this stage. Tight, and needs time to settle down, after which it will be brilliant.
2011 VOSNE-ROMANEE (CAMI30211A)
Fermented with 60% whole bunches this year. Very exuberant, with silky ripe strawberry and spiced plum fruit. Tremendously elegant and fine. One of the best Vosnes tasted this year.

2014 CHAMBOLLE MUSIGNY 1er cru Aux Echanges (CAMI32214A)
Only one barrel made. A small vineyard between Beaux-Bruns and Combottes, with deep clay soil. It has the pretty red fruit typical of Chambolle, but there is firmness here too, and the tannins and minerality give structure. The finish is juicy and persistent. Drink 2021 ' 2030
